Why I wrote my BOOK

With the official launch of my book "Master your Mind" less than a month away, I have participated in a few “over the phone” media interviews recently and there was one common question asked on each of the calls:

Why did I decide to write a book?

The first time I was asked this question, I almost said something generic like “it has always been a dream of mine”, but I stopped myself before I could get the words out. I realized, in that instant, that there were actually a few reasons for writing it and I wanted to share them with you today.

Reason 1: I read a lot…… I mean a LOT

On average I try to read 2-3 books a month - most in the non-fiction, self help genre, and I’ve been doing this for the past 15 years. I’ve always had a fascination with the bible, the "New Thought" authors and the law of attraction in general but you'll find me checking out a lot of motivational stuff as well. When Rhonda Byrne came out with her book, The Secret, it really opened up my curiosity to dig deeper into all of the Quantum Physics studies - and I am continually fascinated to discover even more "scientific backup" to the beliefs I have always held in my heart.

Reason 2: I fell that I have a story to tell

When I was 35 years old I made a promise to myself that I would share my story one day in the hopes of inspiring women to believe in their "superpowers". We all have a story to share and I believe that if we feel a "nudge" to do so, we should take the necessary steps to make that calling happen. I was told by a few respected peers that being a published author could serve as a good first step towards obtaining a speaking platform. I agreed and decided to begin the process of gathering all of my studies and notes with the goal of organizing them into a legible format.

Reason 3: I wanted to write something EASY to read

We live in a busy world and not everyone has the time – or the desire – to sit and read multiple books or study theories and principles. However, knowledge is power and learning is a must for growth so I thought that I would make my book “easy to follow”, complete with quotes and illustrations. I wanted it to be more like the “cliff notes” from books I had read and my desire was to summarize the tools necessary for success and happiness all in one place.

Whether you are looking for love, health, wealth or balance, you CAN have it all if you believe in yourself and remember who you really are. That’s what I believe, that’s what my life experiences have taught me, and that’s why I wrote my book.
